It has been configured in four action axes:
1. Conservation
It promotes actions for the conservation of threatened native species
2. Investigation
It operates and manages a germplasm bank and a herbarium registered with the Index Herbariorum, which recognizes internationally the herbalists oriented to scientific research
3. Education
It promotes educational programs on botany, develops programs and spaces for artistic expression and culture. It also has a library
4. Exposición
The garden has a botanical collection of more than 1,000 species and a collection of contemporary art of 39 works
